RICHARD D. WORSEK co-founded
the firm in 1983. His practice
has been limited to ad valorem
property taxation and general
real estate matters.
Mr. Worsek has spoken frequently
before public and private groups
on real estate tax issues. He is
a member of the Property Tax
Advisory Committee of the
Taxpayers’ Federation of
Illinois, in which he
participates in shaping policy
positions on legislative and
administrative matters. He has
also served as a member of Cook
County Assessor’s Tax Policy
Forum which analyzed and
developed recommendations to
improve the Cook County property
tax system -- many of which have
been implemented. Other
professional affiliations
include the American, Illinois
State and Chicago Bar
Associations; Institute for
Professionals in Taxation;
International Association of
Assessing Officers; and Illinois
Property Tax Lawyers
Association.
Mr. Worsek was a founding board
member and past president of the
Center for Enriched Living, a
life enrichment and community
center for people with
developmental disabilities and
has recently served on its
campaign steering committee,
directing the capital campaign
for a new permanent facility,
and currently serves as Director
Emeritus. He is also a director
of the Nate Wasserman Camp Fund,
which awards summer camp
scholarships, and has previously
served on the board of the
United Way of Highland
Park/Highwood, Illinois.
Mr. Worsek earned a B.S. with
high honors and J.D. from the
University of Illinois. He was
admitted to the Illinois bar in
1979 and spent his first four
years practicing law with the
firm of Chadwell & Kayser, Ltd. |
